When we were young, we believed in ourselves.
We believed we could fly. We believed we could become millionares. We believe we could become successful. We believed we could make great things happen.
Then when we were growing up, we were constantly reminded of our flaws instead of what's good about us.
You're stupid. You're lazy. You're useless. You are too ambitious. You're good for nothing.
It became so convincing, that we started telling ourselves: Yes I'm doomed. I'm good for nothing.
I can't do great things. I can't live my dreams. I can't do this. I can't do that.
After joining the Training & Development industry for 2 years, I realised one thing.
We have so many gifts and talents within us, but many of us don't see them.
And I noticed people who are able to see their gifts usually live a happier and more purposeful life.
Do you have gifts? Of course you do.
Everyone has their own unique gifts. Yes I mean everyone.
Do you know what your gifts are? If you know, great! If you are not sure what your gifts are, don't worry.
My name is Yongjue Tan. And I have a dream. This May, I want to support 1000 people in Malaysia to see their gifts.
I will go around the country, talk to people, then write down the gifts I see in them on a piece of a card.
Here's an example of how I would write it:
Dear Dato Lee Chong Wei, The Gifts I See In You are - Determination, a 'Never say no' spirit, and you constantly strive to be better than who you were yesterday. You have inspired me to strive for continuous improvement and dare to dream BIG!
There's 3 ways you can help make this project successful -
1) Fund this project on Mystartr.com, and get rewarded!
2) Recommend a potential collaboration
Are you a cafe owner? Would you want to offer your space for one of our TGISIY meet-ups?
Are you the leader of a club in college/ university? Would you like your club members to see more of their gifts?
Are you a company leader? Would you like to create a culture where your staff bring out the best in one another through acknowledging each other's gifts?
Or do you see other ways we can collaborate? Or know someone who can collaborate with me? Send me a message at www.facebook.com/TheGiftsISeeInYou.
3) If you think this is a meaningful project, Like and Share this intro video on Facebook - http://youtu.be/jE2IK84rT9I
